BLUE BANG THEORY
Paul Kingery has performed with a host of well-known national acts such as Bob Seger, Rick Springfield, Tiffany, tenor saxophonist Ronnie Laws and many others. Most notably, Paul has been playing and singing with legendary hit machine Three Dog Night for the better part of 15 years beginning with 2 tours in the eighties and virtually non-stop since 1996. As the third voice in the fabulous harmonies so familiar to millions of fans (original Three Dog Night singers Cory Wells and Danny Hutton are the other two), there is little doubt that Paul's singing places him amongst the Detroit area's very best. But that's only a part of the story.
Paul's abilities on lead guitar are every bit as impressive as his vocals. And as the perfect compliment to Paul's playing and singing he has assembled an excellent trio of veteran players - Pete Martinez on keyboards, Paul Laginess on bass, and Mike Murphy on drums - to round things out and spice things up. Collectively, the three total over a century of playing, performing and recording with some of the Detroit area's best known bands and musicians.
All are excellent singers as well, making Blue Bang Theory one of the strongest vocal bands around. Blue Bang Theory covers a remarkable collection of great music, and with their extensive and expansive talents they tackle material most bands wouldn't think of attempting. Also, some excellent Paul K-penned original songs are an integral part of the show including Velvet Elvis, the band's first single co-written with Cory Wells of Three Dog Night.
