Beware of OMD's & OMP's
Again we feel compelled to warn artists about certain "so called" OMD's'/OMP's, (online music distributors/music promoters). Many of these companies feed on indie artists dreams and aspirations and profit from your desire to 'make it' in the music industry.
One company that has recently got our tails up are numberonemusic.com aka musicexposure.org
They target myspace artists with messages from friends that appear to be very personal. It starts with a sentance saying how great you are and includes one of your song titles to make it look authentic but a cut and past error has revealed the middle part of the message is a jpeg image and not a very good one at that. Image below:

Membership to numberonemusic ranges from $16 a month to $200 a year and most of the services they provide are either irrelevant or available free elsewhere. These companies cannot guarantee promotion, they are not record labels, you are not getting record label treatment. You are merely lining their pockets with dollars.
Beware, always stick to brand names that have proven track records and are trusted within the industry such as reverbnation.com and cdbaby.com
