CHERRI BOMB
Readers of ArtistLaunch will be very familiar with the name Ana Lovelis, our history goes back many years. But here is one of her projects to keep an eye on, formally 'Red Shadow' now 'Cherri Bomb'.. a teenage girl band Ana is managing and mentoring that have huge amounts of much needed youthful 'Rock' talent. You may notice two of the girls have a striking resemblance to the legendary indie queen herself.
More videos of this gig to follow but we felt this backstage rockumentary was an interesting insight into the dedicated professionalism the management team are installing into the young band. Without this kind of backup a young bands confidence can dwindle faster than a toilet stop in rattlesnake country !
'Cherri Bomb' at the Valley Cultural Center's Warner Park in Woodland Hills, California for the Annual July Fourth Extravaganza and attended by over 50,000 spectators.

Bizarre comment, has the lineup changed? Disgruntled family or friend of previous member? We don't censor at artistlaunch so if you a gripe go for it

I like this cover they did at the valley.. good energy and the harmonies were excellent.. Rena blows me away with her stage presence and bass playing, she just rocks on stage, loads of attitude..

they did play namm today at the b/c courtyard. the show went great and the girls had a blast! they are currently in the studio recording their first cd and shooting their first video next weekend. it's all a ton of fun, but as you all know, even more tons of work. they are a hard working bunch of girls who take pride in showing the boys that girls can rock! (they say this on many occasions.. it's engrained in my brain...)
the name cherri bomb came about when they were checking out a book called "cherry bomb" about girls and rock and roll. we were talking about the history of the song of the same name and what it meant to rock and roll when the runaways played it and all the girls got together and thought it would be a cool name for the band. of course they wanted to put their own spin on it and they changed the spelling to fit them adding the "i" instead of the "y".
i hope to have some of their tunes mixed and ready to go by february... the girls are out of their minds excited. in an industry that can build you up and beat you down, it's extremely refreshing to watch their excitement and enthusiasm and their undaunted love for music. it's inspiring, to say the least.
hope all are well here... it's been quite awhile. glad to see we're all still churning and burning.. and keeping the faith!
xoxo

um,yeah...young girls calling themselves the "Cheeri (cherry) Bombs"???...ya' think???...nah,not controversial,m ore like provocative...
No, we are friends of Ana Lovelis. And yes it is pronounced 'Cherri' as in 'Cherry'.. I guess in certain sectors of the community this could be seen as controversial
Do we detect a hint of Sarcasm?
