Rex Tangle was born in a small town in France. He was exposed to Rock when he was 2 days old. His father positioned speakers on each side of his crib and cranked Satisfaction . By the age of three, he expressed his interest in music by playing everything he would hear on the radio on his dad s piano, using one finger. Later, he switched to guitar, and at age 10, after listening to the english band Status Quo, he wanted to play electric guitar.



In his early teens, he joined a fairly popular French Rock band, Copie Conforme , and even did a few dates as the opening act with The Police during their 1983 Synchronicity tour. Soon after, he moved to Chicago and after five years of playing bass for a band, they all moved to Los Angeles in hopes of making it. Unfortunately, things didn t go as planned, and Rex was on his own again.



Instead of going into another band, Rex decided to make a change, he purchased enough basic equipment to create his own home studio. With over 300 recorded tunes done on various pieces of recording equipment over a four year period, playing Bass, Guitar, Keyboards, Drum Programs, Samples, and some percussions. The result is a mixture of different styles, mostly instrumental tunes, with the exception of a couple of songs with lyrics or loops to carry it along.
