There has to be something more
(Verse 1)-My dissection of you did not stop when I seen your face, I always knew there was more, so I cut deeper in place, critiquing your exterior as I longed for inner peace, I want your beauty, but the mind is what blinds me,
scaring my pupil, and my cornea's perception, miss sunshine there's no misconception, because I always knew, That there was more behind the eyes of you
(Chorus)-You think your beauty is the only thing I care about, But girl let me tell you that that's not What it's all about, I want what's behind your eyes, Girl I will never tell you lies, This is not a shallow brain Knocking at your door, There has to be something more, Baby there has to be some more
(Verse 2)-When I first seen you sure there was an agenda, Because my plan was to cut, And slice the shallow part of you, Because I always hoped that there was a deeper meaning, Something more than the fact That your eyes are pretty blue,
There was so much more that I desired than your complexion, I wanted to open your surface, and expose Your true perception, because I always knew, that there was more behind the eyes of you (Chorus)-You think your beauty is the only thing I care about, But girl let me tell you that that's not What it's all about, I want what's behind your eyes, Girl I will never tell you lies, This is not a shallow brain Knocking at your door, There has to be something more, Baby there has to be some more
(Bridge)-Your exterior does not define Who you really are So my purpose is to cut into you Without leaving a scar, I will do it through my words, Because they're as sharp as machete, You thought I was shallow, But girl I am ready,
(Echoes fading back into chorus) Girl I am ready, Girl I am ready
